If I had a death threat hanging over my head like a knife, I would probably take a stand. I dont like to be told what to do if its somthing I REALLY don’t want to do, for example, buying cream puffs with 2 weeks of my allowance (considering even these days kids don't receive a good pay rate) for people who are mean. So if I was faced with this threat i’d probably do something about it…such as:

One: Standing up to the people who were threatening me. I know holling is scared of the kids in his class… but standing up to them now is better than never. If they really want cream puffs they can go buy them for themselves.

Two: Tell an adult. In the book Hollings parents don't care very much but Mrs. Baker might be able to help. If holling is too scared to talk to the bullys i'm sure Mrs.Baker wouldn't mind setting the kids straight.

And finally three: Don't do anything at all. wait it out. Sometimes doing nothing is better than doing anything at all (plus we've all learned that in the case of an apocalypse you should just lay low so maybe thats what Holling should do).
